Shaker Group partners with LG to expand production capacity

Shaker Group, the distributor and manufacturer of LG Air Conditioners based in Saudi Arabia, has reportedly partnered with LG in a bid to expand its production capacity.

Sources claim that the new facility will produce high-performance, Multi Fan Air Handling Units (AHU) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The facility is claimed to undoubtedly be a pivotal indicator of the long-term strategic partnership between LG and the Shaker Group, as the JV extends to include AHU unit manufacturing & distribution.

The new facility aims to boost local manufacturing and industrial self-sufficiency, and eventually intends to reduce the delivery time by leveraging Saudi production, thereby lending support to Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030. The factory will also enable Shaker Group to supply specialized AC solutions to the customers of the Kingdom by ensuring wider specification coverage and better-quality control in the market.

Azzam Saud Almudaiheem, CEO of Shaker Group, was reportedly quoted stating that this initiative, in the context of seeking new growth opportunities in the market, will be crucial for the company. He added that as they retail focus on developing the AHU category, the new manufacturing facility will support the growth of their business and help broaden customer access to LG’s Air Conditioning product portfolui.

Eddie Jun, CEO of the LG-Shaker JV, claimed that expanding the company’s production capability in Saudi Arabia will allow them to better serve their Middle East customers and cement their spot as the top AHU solution provider. This technology assures ideal performance while demonstrating the JV unit’s leadership and R&D capabilities, Jun says, adding that the JV company is rather delighted to work with the Shaker Group to help LG further strengthen its position as a formidable player in the Middle East energy market.
