Reports confirm that Larsen & Toubro’s construction unit has secured new orders for its Buildings & Factories and Water & Effluent Treatment businesses. For Buildings & Factories, the business has received an order from Jharkhand State Building Construction Corporation Limited for the manufacturing of two 500 bed hospitals at Dumka and Jamshedpur.
Apparently, another order has been secured for the construction of a commercial complex, which is 108m tall, at Raidurgam, Hyderabad from a leading developer. The project will consist of high street retail frontage, landscape areas, recreational activities, grand retail plaza and other facilities like spaces for multi-level car parking, with a project timeline of 32 months.
In addition, the business has also received an order for the construction of a manufacturing facility in Gujarat from a prestigious construction machinery manufacturer.
An L&T press release informed that the Water & Effluent Treatment business has secured four orders from West Bengal’s Public Health Engineering Directorate, for manufacturing of water treatment plant, groundwater reservoirs, transmission mains, overhead reservoirs, metering works and water distribution network in several blocks of Bankura District of West Bengal.
Further, the business has received repeat EPC order for examining, manufacturing and designing of water supply, drains, reuse waterline, STP, roads and many others from Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority.
According to the company, this order helps in demonstrating the strong relationship with the customer and gives another opportunity to showcase the capabilities of L&T in delivery and expert project management.
Another order of EPC has been received from Faridabad Smart City for upgradation of roads network and laying of civil infrastructure. Along with this, another contract of smart city development has been received from Patna Smart City Limited for re-development and retrofitting of storm water drains, installing street furniture with smart lighting, advanced bus stops and many other related works in Patna, the company added.
